knowitall - October 2, 2009, 10:30 am
pffft, liberals don't believe in work! well actually that's not entirely correct, they believe other people should do all the work for them, and allow them to enjoy the benifits of that hard work.
Haarakkon - April 6, 2009, 12:37 am
Economically, socially and culturally, I have much more in common with someone from Lethbridge, Alta. than someone from Charlotte, NC. Same with a Down-Easter and a Newfie.
Haarakkon - April 6, 2009, 12:33 am
I cannot advocate violent overthrow by virtue of my position, either. It is my opinion that those elected representatives (and yes, I have personally met both senators, my congressman and governor) no longer represent the people.
WTFO - April 6, 2009, 12:18 am
agree with the policies out of that office. I post my dissent here as a private citizen, not as a SNCO.
WTFO - April 6, 2009, 12:17 am
Don't get me wrong, while I'm very pissed at the freedoms that have been violated over the past couple of months, I don't advocate blood to change things. I am a serviceman and am completely loyal to the Office of the President. However, I don't have to
Haarakkon - April 5, 2009, 11:45 pm
I absolutely agree regarding the parties. if they were alive today. I believe Jefferson adage regarding the tree of liberty would certainly be considered. I'm not so sure blood needs to be shed.
WTFO - April 5, 2009, 11:37 pm
To be accurate, I think if they were with us today, they'd toss both parties to the wayside. I believe they'd be more in line with the Libertarians of today. However, between Reps and Dems, I think they're principles are more right than left. My opinion.
Haarakkon - April 5, 2009, 1:56 am
founding fathers were or would be conservatives (and by extension, members of the Republican party) if they were among us now.
Haarakkon - April 5, 2009, 1:54 am
a few radical agitators that threw off the yoke of oppression 200+ years ago have become symbolic of the conservative agenda today, although your comments give me some insight on this. Few things I can think of are further from the truth than to say the
Haarakkon - April 5, 2009, 1:51 am
I'm not certain the previous 8 years were any better for us as a people. Or that the next 3 1/2 are the second coming of Ragnarok. Some fundamental liberties suffered under the Bush administration. Some may suffer under this one. What confuses me is how
WTFO - April 5, 2009, 1:44 am
Well, 50% concurrence is better than none I guess.
WTFO - April 5, 2009, 1:40 am
doesn't equate to the liberals of our time as the poster suggests. The liberals of our time are tearing down the founding principles.
WTFO - April 5, 2009, 1:39 am
No argument here on having radicals on both sides. Unfortunately, the good, moderate Dems are marginalized right now cause the far left has captured the party. Yes, the founding fathers had "liberal" thoughts for their time but that definition of the word
Haarakkon - April 5, 2009, 1:35 am
Radicals are not only left-wingers. I submit the Militias of Montana and Michigan are fairly right-wing in their beliefs. The founding fathers believed in the principle of equality, an extremely liberal notion for their time.
WTFO - April 5, 2009, 1:21 am
agree with that sentiment. Unfortunately, our govt is being overthrown (but not through the use of arms) right now. Some of the founding principles of this nation are under attack because the radicals were voted into govt offices.
WTFO - April 5, 2009, 1:20 am
My fault. I thought that was where you were going. However, on your real point, those who overthrow of an oppressive govt are only considered radical by the govt being overthrown. From the perspective of the founding fathers, there liberated us and I
Haarakkon - April 5, 2009, 1:07 am
Whoa, Nellie. Iraq never entered this equation. My contention is merely this, that anyone advocating armed overthrow of their current form of government, is, by definition, a radical. Therefore, the founding fathers were radicals, even in their own time
WTFO - April 5, 2009, 12:53 am
with Britian. I think where they founding fathers would have the hardest time is seeing how we are returning to the same oppressive big govt that we fought against to stand up this Republic.
WTFO - April 5, 2009, 12:52 am
As for Washington, Hemp is used to make rope and other things as well. It also wasn't illegal at the time so it's an irrelevant point in my mind. I believe that this country has been divisive since its beginning. Several colonists didn't want to go to war
WTFO - April 5, 2009, 12:50 am
Building a free country in that region takes time and is harder when hostile countries around the area (Iran, Syria, Saudi) keep flooding insurgents into Iraq. I'm sorry you are not patient enough to give them a chance to succeed.
WTFO - April 5, 2009, 12:48 am
too weak to back up their own "strongly worded letters" to Saddam, we gathered 39 other like-minded countries and wiped him and his psycho sons off the planet. A job well done. That move also worked to set the battlespace for the Global War on Terror.
WTFO - April 5, 2009, 12:46 am
I didn't dodge anything. We overthrew a dictator that engaged in acts of war against this country, was a known sponsor of terrorism, he violated international law for a decade, and he was a threat to his neighbors and his own people. So when the UN was
Haarakkon - April 5, 2009, 12:15 am
Ironically, Jefferson was widely known as a liberal even in his time.
Haarakkon - April 5, 2009, 12:13 am
Frankly, I believe the founding fathers would be disgusted by all of it if they were alive today, the divisiveness, the partisan bickering, the incivility. Jefferson certainly would advcocate armed revolution.
Haarakkon - April 5, 2009, 12:10 am
Beg to differ, gents. If the conservatives like to claim a hemp growing immigrant as one of their own (George Washington), that's their choice. I see you completely dodged the overthrow question, WTFO.
Mark - April 4, 2009, 11:56 pm
That's right! And sometimes they even use red ink.
agdaniele - April 4, 2009, 11:54 pm
Especially when they use all caps!
Mark - April 4, 2009, 11:52 pm
WTFO - In all fairness to the Democratic Party, their nasty letters are also very stern.
Mark - April 4, 2009, 11:48 pm
Haarakkon - I'm all for the peaceful overthrow of our elected representatives. They have failed us all. If that doesn't work....well let's see what happens. WTFO - You were right the first time. It's "bear arms." Bare arms would be naked...oh my!
WTFO - April 4, 2009, 11:47 pm
The Republican party defends the freedoms of this nation and the world from threats. Democrats write nasty letters and engage in appeasement policies.
Haarakkon - April 4, 2009, 11:37 pm
The Republican Party advocates a violent overthrow of the existing form of government? Wait, since a Democrat is in office, I guess that IS correct. Never mind.
WTFO - April 4, 2009, 11:18 pm
Just noticed that I used the wrong spelling of "bare". Oh well, right to bare arms or arm bears, whatever the hell you want to do.
WTFO - April 4, 2009, 11:17 pm
These men were not liberals in this country. They stood for what the Republicans stand for now. Sorry that I have to stand on the other side of the issue from you my friend, but that is certainly nothing new.
WTFO - April 4, 2009, 11:16 pm
Poor analogy, Ron. These men were liberals in the eyes of King George III. However, they stood for the rights of the individual not the govt, smaller govt, right to bear arms, lower taxes, capitalism, freedom of religion, and they built a Republic.
eli - April 4, 2009, 8:41 pm
liberals would be the torries turning these badasses in to the british, LONG LIVE REPUBLICANA!!!
Toussaint - February 5, 2009, 11:02 am

Make it look easy, huh? Not in the least. If you know how you make yours so good, then you have your answer.
Produceman117 - December 24, 2009, 3:32 pm
How do you just wake up and piss poetry like this? I'm absolutely floored. Emphatic 5.

Faceplant31 - April 28, 2010, 5:44 pm
Whos got the bacon and whiskey? I gots waffles and beer! Lets make it a party, anyways guys i gave this pic to Airman, this is my latest potato gun, duh!
R.S.Jake - April 28, 2010, 5:44 pm
Good god! I already admitted you knew more about tanks, congratulations! Here's your freaking prize! I dropped it. You are the one with the inability to let it go my friend. Go bug someone else. You're good at that.
crankyhead - April 28, 2010, 5:41 pm
Jake... let it go buddy, you're wrong about me and the intention of my comment and about the howitzer being a tank. Just because you're a mod doesn't mean you can't be wrong. Now go eat some bacon and drink some whiskey and drop it.
R.S.Jake - April 28, 2010, 5:37 pm
Hey Face, you gotta Wafflehouse near you? If you do, I'm on my way! I'll bring the Beer!
R.S.Jake - April 28, 2010, 5:35 pm
You're silly. You must be up past your bedtime.
Faceplant31 - April 28, 2010, 5:32 pm
WAFFLES!!!!!!!
crankyhead - April 28, 2010, 5:27 pm
Jake, no matter how hard you whine about it, it's still not a tank. You don't have to stand up for him because if airman doesn't have an issue with me sayin what I said, neither should you. Seriously Jake, get off his jock already.
R.S.Jake - April 28, 2010, 5:21 pm
Well, your screen name is apt! Cranky! I was standing up for a regular member...one who has contributed to this site more time that you have been on the internet most likely. So, just chill, and go about your business...thank you, drive through.
crankyhead - April 28, 2010, 5:17 pm
Jake, you stand corrected.
crankyhead - April 28, 2010, 5:16 pm
and just for the record, us army grunts are always taking the piss out of the air force pukes and vice versa. It's a timeless tradition that keeps us both on our toes. Airman knows this, I know this and now Jake, you know it too.
R.S.Jake - April 28, 2010, 5:13 pm
Well, thank you for correcting the internet Crankyhead, we stand correctd.
crankyhead - April 28, 2010, 5:13 pm
also, it's called the Tank & Ordinance war memorial museum. Artillery is classified as "ordinance". I only made the first comment cause the first three words of the poster are "Tanks easily identified" Sorry if the humor got lost on you.
crankyhead - April 28, 2010, 5:07 pm
Actually Jake, this is definetly not a tank. Tanks engage in close quarters and fire their rounds in a direct line of fire. Artillery stays far away from combat and fires its rounds in a ballistic trajectory or indirect line of fire like a mortar.
R.S.Jake - April 28, 2010, 3:56 pm
Well crankypants, just because it isn't an Abrams, doesn't mean it's not a tank. If it's not a tank, how come one is on display at the A.A.F. TANK museum in Danville, Virginia?
GreyScorpion - April 28, 2010, 2:14 pm
tanks for the clarification. 5L
Airman - April 28, 2010, 2:03 pm
well, it's kind of tankish looking
crankyhead - April 28, 2010, 1:53 pm
That's a M109A6 Paladin self propelled Howitzer. It's an artillery piece, not a tank flyboy. =)
